For 20 years, Fremont Opera has partnered with Yoko’s Academy of Dance & Performing Arts to provide a live professional orchestra for the Nutcracker. We deeply regret that this year we will be unable to do so, and the ballet will be performed with recorded music. We are making plans to bring the orchestra back next year, and we hope to make it happen.

We are immensely grateful to all those who have supported the Nutcracker orchestra over these many years: our longtime sponsor Fletcher Jones Motorcars, our donors and program advertisers, and our generous Fremont Opera Board members. The orchestra has been a great enrichment to the Nutcracker experience, for the audience and the performers alike.

In the meantime, the Fremont Nutcracker tradition continues, with its lavish costumes and staging, and its spectacular dancing.
